Youth Progress is seeking to hire an engaging, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally-responsive counselor to join our team. The person who accepts this position will have the responsibility of supporting their co-workers by ensuring deadlines are met, projects are accomplished, and daily operational tasks are completed efficiently throughout the Community Collective Program.

Job Responsibilities

Administrative:

  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to organization and program policies
  • Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for all Community Collective staff
  • Manage and field incoming phone calls and correspondence e.g. e-mail, letters, packages etc.
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned

Budget Management:

  • Support bookkeeping procedures for program youth
  • Assist program management with maintaining program budget
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data

Support:

  • Enhance communication within and between all staff in the Community Collective Program by developing and maintaining effective systems through which to assess and refine service delivery, reporting on outcomes, and delivering on improvements
  • Be a cultural leader by maintaining a calm, positive, and professional presence. Role-model problem-solving and conflict resolution throughout your work

Documentation and Tracking:

  • Complete daily logs as assigned
  • Perform BRS log audits to help ensure documentation is on time and meets state requirements
  • Perform medication oversight by creating and maintaining monthly eMARs, transferring medication to appropriate parties, conduct daily eMAR reviews, input medication and health care visits into database, place medication refill orders

Other Duties:

  • Support other program functions as assigned

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years progressive administrative, management and supervisory experience in a social service environment required.
  • Master of Social Work or related field preferred
  • Experience providing services to youth involved in the juvenile justice and foster care systems required.
  • Experience in planning, managing and evaluating the delivery of services and design of programs within a social service organization.
  • Commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion at the individual, organizational, and systems level.

Position & Environment Details:

  • Full Time: Yes, hourly
  • On-call: No
  • Hours: Typically 8a-5p, M-F
  • Co-workers: The Program Assistant will work closely with Community Collective staff. As an agency, we are creative, dedicated, and driven. We're often busy, but never too busy to help brainstorm a complicated problem or share a word of support.
  • Day to day: For our this position, no two days are exactly alike. However, on any given day, you will spend time with youth and staff, speak with outside resources to coordinate some aspect of client care, and review documentation. We are looking for someone who enjoys lively days, is deeply committed to advancing equity, and wants to make everybody around them better.

Applicant Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2 years prior experience in direct services working with youth  
  • Current Oregon/Washington State driver's license

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or social sciences
  • Experience facilitating groups
  • Experience providing Trauma-Informed Services
  • Experience with Collaborative Problem Solving and/or Restorative Justice
  • Experience providing culturally responsive services and/or relational engagement with youth.
