Youth Progress is seeking a proactive, collaborative, and organized case manager to join our team. The person in this position will be committed to providing high quality services and coordinating care for our youth. The case manager will also be immersed in best practices such as trauma-informed care, collaborative problem solving, and restorative justice.

Job Responsibilities:

Case Management:

  • Communication - Ensure consistent, well coordinated care for clients by communicating clearly and routinely with internal and external personnel involved in clients' cases, including proctor parents, caseworkers and/or parole and probation officers.
  • Coordinate - Monitor the full spectrum of client treatment to ensure that the client's physical, mental, and educational needs are being met.
  • Organization - Leverage your organizational skills to manage your home room's activities, client schedules, etc.
  • Documentation - Invest in clients' ongoing success by documenting client needs, behaviors, and support plans. Help ensure that our documentation is on time and meets state requirements.

Client Support:

  • Skill development - Model and support client development of social and emotional skills. Teach and practice independent living skills like financial literacy, time management, and communication.
  • Relationship Building - Create strong and trusting relationships with staff and clients. Set aside time to build rapport with clients.
  • Leadership - Be a cultural leader by maintaining a calm, positive, and professional presence. Role-model problem-solving and conflict resolution throughout your work.
  • Safety & De-escalation - Help youth regulate their emotions proactively and identify when to provide additional support. Ensure the safety of clients by providing supervision both on site and in the community.

Supervisory and Lead Responsibilities:

  • On-call Rotation - Will be responsible for participating in the on-call rotation for the residential programs, which includes responding effectively to programmatic, procedural, policy and supervisory issues as they arise.
  • Coverage - Will work with residential program managers to ensure both residential programs have coverage on all shifts.
  • Holiday Coverage - Will be asked to work on holidays that fall on Mondays, but will be granted an additional day off in that same week. Will be asked to coordinate with program managers to ensure there is adequate staffing on holidays.
  • Leadership- Will be asked to facilitate a portion of the program's weekly staff meeting.

  • Hours: 7a-330p  M-F
  • Exemption Status: Exempt
  • Co-workers: The LCM will partner with  the Program Assistant to ensure adequate supervision for the youth during the day.  The LCM will work closely with the Youth Engagement Specialist (YES) to ensure structure and support is continue on into the evenings and weekends. As an agency, we're creative, open-minded, and bustling. We're often busy, but never too busy to help brainstorm a complicated problem or share a word of support.
  • Day to day: For our case managers, no two days will be exactly alike, because the needs of our youth are constantly evolving. In the course of a typical day, you might spend time getting to know a new youth, make calls to arrange doctor's appointments or other outside services, or plan a meeting for the members of a client's treatment team. If you pride yourself on organization, think critically and creatively, and you enjoy working with playful, complicated, and sometimes challenging youth, this position could be a great fit.

Applicant Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or social sciences
  • 2 years prior experience in direct services working with youth  
  • 1 year case manager experience  
  • Current driver's license


  • Master's level preferred
  • Experience facilitating groups
  • Experience providing Trauma-Informed Services
  • Experience with Collaborative Problem Solving and/or Restorative Justice
  • Experience providing culturally responsive services and/or relational engagement with youth.
